The 2016 awards season has come with a big jewel dhamaka. Less sheen than usual but a lot of glamour polished the red carpet as the actresses chosen more sleek silhouettes over sequins and trains. Jewellery infused the much-needed glitz to the matte hued dresses in red, black, gold and white as the well-liked choices. Here are the best jewels from last night’s Golden Globe Awards:
Jennifer Lawrence and her diamonds…OMG!
Jennifer Lawrence, here, made the title of — ‘The winner for best Statement Necklace’ hers. The lovely lady smartly paired her red cut-out gown with a Chopard diamond bib necklace. The necklace features 156.77 carats of diamonds set in 18k white gold.
Lady Gaga and her best period jewels
Here we got one more winner for the grand night. Lady Gaga channelled the charm from 1950s in a bold black velvet Versace number & diamond jewellery from Neil Lane.
Jennifer Lopez kept it sparkling this time with her precious jewels on the red carpet. The famous star wore a Giambattista Valli gown in mustard yellow colour with 200 carats of Harry Winston diamonds including a classic diamond necklace, a drop diamond necklace, a marquise and round cut diamond bracelet, drop earrings in yellow diamond, a diamond band ring and a smart cut yellow diamond ring.
Empire star Taraji Henson followed the ‘go-green’ policy beautifully. She beautified her ears with Kimberly McDonald earrings set.
Other star who went green was Jaimie Alexander, smartly coupling her emerald green and black printed gown with emerald jewels. The actress won best green goddess jewels.
Cate Blanchett overwhelmed the red carpet in a backless Givenchy couture gown with matching jewels inclusive of a diamond bracelet that impersonated the lace’s pattern details and a pair of pearl tassel earrings to go well with the fringe.
Emmy Rossum looked red hot on the red carpet flaunting her sleek look in strapless red attire and a diamond collar necklace. The crisscross lines of the necklace created an exclusive yet modern look.
Kate Winslet showed her fondness for jewellery. She was awarded with the Best Supporting Actress in a Movie, Drama award. Her wrist was adorned with a pair of arresting bracelets, which suited her diamond drop earrings beautifully.
