Older forms of necklaces were made of pure natural materials like shells, bones or teeth or colorful skins of human prey animals, bird feathers, and corals, carved pieces of wood, colorful seeds or stones or naturally occurring gems were tied in strings and ropes. Rope necklace can be any necklace longer than opera necklace. Lariat is the longest one and can be draped by doubling up in neck and the ends can be crossed over, looped, or knotted in various ways. Tooth pendant necklace are also in trend which are twined with animal’s tooth and shark’s tooth has been the commonly used object as pendant in such kind of neckpieces. Then there are prayer bead necklaces which are used for religious purpose of chanting. These are generally composed of beads of any kind and religious devotees use them in chants.

No matter how elegant or costly your jewellery is, matching and wearing it with the right attires and necklines of attires embosses its value and actual attributes. One has to match the attributes, design and properties of jewellery with the necklines of their attires. Choose light weight jewellery for any occasion on day time and choose a bit heavier pieces on evenings.

If you are donning strap less or shoulder less neck dress then a stuck to the neck necklace is the best option to get accessorized with. To add some spark and sophistication, one can also add a light string of pearls which will also work as filler.

A square neck attired will be best paired by a long dangling chain but keep the length in mind which falls between the collars.
